WHITEFRANK ROSANEBEL

ROSANEBEL is a town situated in a mountain pass between two armes waging a continent-wide war.

However, that war is not the focus. The focus is the town, its many different residents (all notable ones details and examples of many more), its immediate neighbours including the Brothel in the Cliff, a Casino hiding an Eldritch Horror, a Finishing School for Young Ladies, a Baron obsessed with resurrecting dead flesh, a Count who doesn't like attending Church, Merchants and their Barbarian Swordsmen, a spy who is mistress of disguise and so much more!

The main locations in the town are mapped, with a random generator for more buildings. All notable people are fully detailed according to WHITEFRANK rules and easily used in any other OSR system, or really in any system. Detailed descriptions, flavor text, insights, politics, plots, adventure ideas and STILL more.

New monsters, including an existential threat in the form of the Venom Grubs and ther Venom Kin (a new character class).

New items, new spells, and new challenges.

A waterfall and its ledges, each containing something different!

The Town Dump, lair of the Toilet Hobos and Toilet Witches, Trash Pigs, and other ecologically adapted threats!

This is a campaign book, in the old school sense, and it is possible to just keep telling stories in Rosanebel. There are numerous charts, for everything from random encounters (not just with monsters) to Weather and effects of freezing temperatures and more.

A significant number of new creatures are provided, locally tailored to each area. And three different versions of a Yeti in one area - the Snow Gorilla, Devil Bear and Yueh Teh.

Rosanebel also has Anarchists, conservative Students, foreign diplomats, local crooks, a vampire Count with a plan to take over the world, and Marionette, the Mistress of Espionage.

There is even a summary of local laws that can get a player's character thrown in prison, how long that will be for, and what they can expect.

Rosanebel is hopefully a living breathing place, where negotiation and roleplaying are essential because some threats are too severe for mindless dice rolls and violence. And this all takes place against the backdrop of politics, the possible extinction of some character classes and religious tensions between the High Church of the One True Way, the Elves and the worship of the Old Gods!

NOTE: this game is not suitable for very small children due to young adult level concepts. It is still appropriate for family play as long as parents are comfortable discussing matters related to sexuality, religion and politics in a fictional fantasy setting.
